Carlos Bosch Cebrián wins the Clip My Horse TV Trophy with ‘Jolie van der Berghoeve KAR’

Tom Schewe with ‘Lester’ win the 1.40 and Luca Moneta with ‘Carla de Boaz’ win the 1.30

Local Spanish rider Carlos Bosch Cebrián and his 9yr yr old mare, ’Jolie van der Berghoeve KAR', (‘Jaguar VD Berghoeve’ x ‘Kannan’), owned by KAR Sport Horses LLC, are the winners of the Clip My Horse TV Trophy, the first FEI Longines Ranking class, here at the fifth Andalucía October Tour. This was a 1.45 speed class, held in the iconic David Broome a 1.45 and had a couple of serious roll backs and some interesting combinations and related distances that really challenged the 95 competitors. 65.64s was the very fast winning time and one second faster than the Swiss rider,  Bryan Balsiger with ‘Castiel’ who took second place.

 

Third place went to Austrian rider Max Kühner with ‘EIC Cornets Lady’; fourth was Brazilian, Pedro Veniss with ‘Gershwin Dromelle’ and fifth was British rider, Joe Whitaker with ‘Hulahupe Jr’.

 

German rider, Tom Schewe and ‘Lester’, a nine year old by ‘Eldorado VD Zeshoek’ x ‘Andiamo Z’, owned by Teus van den Brink and Vof HX Horses, were the winners of the 1.40, which was held in the Hickstead grass arena. They topped the podium in a class of 90 competitors beating the Spanish rider, Joel Vallés Rosell and ‘Toulonique de Walyro’ into second place. In third was American rider, Campbell Brown with ‘Mansini LTD’; fourth was Dutch rider Lisa Nooren with ‘Malina JDV’ and fifth was Max Kühner, this time riding  ‘Greece 5’.

 

Italian, Luca Moneta once again took a top spot on the podium; today it was in the 1.30 class with ‘Carla de Boaz’ as they stopped the clock in a speedy 56.60s. Second in 60.90s was Swiss, Bryan Balsiger with ‘Empire du Park’; third was the Spanish rider, Kevin González de Zárate with ‘Mesala del Amor’; fourth Portuguese rider, Martim Portela de Morais with ‘Daiquiri CC’ and in fifth was Kamilla Ladefoged Rasmussen with ‘Rassall van’t Zorgvliet’.

 

There was a British win in the 1.20 from Sophie Slater and ‘Okehurst MR Mexico’. Monegasque rider, Allegra Banks Clark with 'High Society WS’ was second; Australian rider,  Pru Dawes with ‘Monbeg Hendricks’ took third. Two Irish riders took fourth and fifth places;  Aine Shortall with ‘Killerisk Can Ya’ and Gerard Campbell with ‘Coldplay I’.

 

There was another British rider on the top spot in the 1.10 class; Cassandra Cope with ‘Hamlets Fire’. Spanish rider, Marta Garat Macías was second with ‘Espoir du Chene’ and Gerard Campbell was third, this time on ‘Livio’. Allegra Banks took fourth place with ‘Meneer’ and the Spanish rider,  Salvador Camara Martin was fifth with ‘Brahms de Lavaure’.

 

In the 7yr old Young Horse class, which was sponsored by the Consejería de Turismo y Andalucía Exterior de la Junta de Andalucía, y la Diputación Provincial de Cádiz (the Ministry of Tourism and Andalucían Foreign Affairs of the Andalucían Regional Government, and the Provincial Council of Cádiz);  ‘Iglou de Beugner’ was the winer, moving up from fourth position in yesterday’s class and ridden by Spanish, Eduardo Blanco Martín.

‘Diamond Heart SN’ was second ridden by Swedish, Alexander Zetterman; ‘Kantino’ was third ridden by the Ecuadorian, Ana Carolina Sandoval Muñoz; ‘Safira van de Berghoeve Kar’ was fourth with Carlos Bosch Cebrián and ‘Noblese Nada RT’ was fifth and also ridden by Ana Carolina Sandoval.

 

In the 5yr old class the Spanish rider, Mickey Seaquist Fernández-Cavada’s youngsters shone today; ‘Ultreya van het Audgoed’ was first and ‘Coona Blue PS’ was third. Slipping into second was ‘Chadandra PS’, from the Yeguada Valbanera and ridden by Sonia Leena Hugerbühler from Finland. ’MR Priority’ was fourth with Irish rider, James Derwin and in fifth was ‘Enzo Ferrari 8’, with Italian,  Lorenzo Argentano.

 

Tomorrow there are nine classes in the CSI3*, including a 1.45 Ranking class and both the 6 and the 5 yr olds will be jumping.
